Corner to Corner Deux

On August 13 (the 6 year anniversary of our ‘retirement’) we drove to Hells Canyon on the Snake River with our friends Mark & Sue. After a 12 hour drive, including a 3 hour drive on a fantastic  24 mile gravel road along the Imnaha River Canyon down to the Snake, we set up camp.  The purpose of this trip was to drop off Robert and Mark and their bikes and gear to start the 2nd “Corner to Corner” motorcycle trip! In 1989 Robert, Jesse and his brother Buster, rode motorcycles from the NE corner of Oregon (on the border with Idaho along the Snake river) to the SW corner of Oregon (on the border with CA along the Pacific Ocean) on primarily gravel and dirt roads. This ‘redeux’ is in memory of Jesse Cline as well as being a fabulous adventure on the backroads of Oregon. Here’s some images of the first leg of the trip, getting to Hells Canyon!
