Mexican Interlude Feb. 5
On Feb. 5th we drove to El Golfo de Santa Clara, Mexico with our friends Glen and Barb (from British Columbia) to spend a week on the shore of the Sea of Cortez. Glen and Barb have been there many times and were indispensable as guides, amigos, and compañeros de viaje (fellow travelers). They took us on many rides on the beach in their jeep to sightsee and collect shells and memories.
Where desert meets sea.
Some sections of beach were passable only at low tide. We were there during a full moon and tides could be up to 17 feet, rendering this section under water at high tide! Gulls and Pelicans rested on the beach.
