August Fest
August was the month of “Fests”. Of course the much anticipated Bend BrewFest was a blast! Why go to all the breweries, when you can taste it all in one place over 3 days and nights! According to The Seattle Times, “Among cities in beer-crazy Oregon, Bend now has the most craft breweries per capita. Some locals have started calling this ‘Beer City USA.’ More breweries are opening soon.”
BrewFest under an artificial moon. Is that Mothra hovering overhead? Must have been attracted by that false moon!
Then there was the nearby Culver Crawdad Fest! Lake Billy Chinook with miles of shoreline, gave up 2,000 pounds of crawfish for the festival, and it was all sold and consumed!
