December 24, 2021 Hooooo are You?
We had a wonderful siting today. At around 4pm we saw some movement through the small fir forest in the back and spotted this Barred Owl perched on a tree about 30 feet down the hill from the picture window.
Cropping the picture made it a little fuzzy, but you can see the ‘bars’ on the chest, rather than the ‘spots’ on the chest of his more secretive cousin the Spotted Owl.
