Dec. 2 – Dog Meets Wolf

We visited the Beatty Museum and Historical Society in Beatty, NV. I’ve wanted to meander around Beatty ever since passing through the town in the early 90’s when camping in Death Valley. We rode our motorcycles from the campsite to Beatty then past the ghost town of Rhyolite and through Titus Canyon back to the campsite. (We were younger and stronger then!)

Mavrik took a sniff and decided it was okay!

Dec. 1 – Made it to Nevada

Our second night out we stayed at Lahontan State Recreation Area outside Silver Springs, Nevada. We had a quiet evening and enjoyed a nice walk along what would have been a shoreline if there was water in the reservoir!

Nov. 30 – Time to Get On The Road

We are finally ready to “bug out” of Bend. The storm is coming, with single digit temperatures predicted!

The new rig set up; a car hauler trailer housing the Jeepster and all our extra gear that used to fit in the motorcycle trailer!

We had to go into town to see our insurance agent to navigate the new Health Care Insurance sign up. No great inconvenience and a nice day to walk along the river near the office.

Nov. 7 – Emergency Trip

Had to fly to Durham, NC for a family emergency. A beautiful sunset greeted me on touchdown and heralded a positive outcome for my visit.
