We went out for an early morning hike towards Church Rock, dominating the horizon. We didn’t get very near it, but it was beautiful country to explore.

The landscape was enchanting but very, very dry!

Up close some cacti were blooming. A bonus heart-shaped rock in the picture that I didn’t notice until now!

Continuing our road trip into Arizona and New Mexico. We stopped to visit a friend in Mesa and she put on an epic spread for us.

Ribs and brats on the grill! Platters of fruits, cheeses, & cookies, pots of spaghetti, greens, and corn on the cob. We left with tubs of leftovers and makings for reuben sandwiches. We ate for a week on the bounty! Thank you Sandi!!!

Into New Mexico we stayed at Red Rock Park out of Gallup. There are fantastic trails to hike into and around the red rocks, but it was in the 105+ degree F range, so hiking was finished by 9am!!!

We headed south to attend a 90th birthday party, but there were children of all ages in attendance!

I made breakfast muffins and double chocolate biscotti! Robert installed an extra refrigerator in the “basement” of the Motorhome.
