October 24, 2021 Prelude to Winter
A high King tide at South Beach near Newport, Oregon.

We will be staying near here for the winter.

A buck and his harem visit the buffet we spread under the apple tree.
Maybe we’ll see his progeny next spring!
Our tree did not produce any fruit this year, maybe due to a frost after the flowers bloomed. We collected fruit from under a tree in town that produced copiously! We were able to feed the deer for a few weeks! We think the deer might have gotten tummy aches since the apples were green, but they were all eaten!
A found object, cleaned up and fitted with a tea light candle, is such a romantic touch to an evening on the deck!
A gray, cool fall day, brightened up by fall colors reflected in Mirror Pond on the Deschutes River in downtown Bend.
Ominous clouds, but no rain.
On walks around the ‘hood I sometimes find the cutest things!
The painted rocks were there for only a few days.
