Nov. 27 – Another Beautiful Day

A gorgeous end to a great day in the desert.

Actually we went into town to do errands and resupply, but we had a wonderful evening back at our campsite.

Nov. 24 – A Nestled Moon

The moon, like a pearl, nestled in the arm of a saguaro.

Nov. 23 – A Milestone on the way to the Palms

A big milestone, my bike turned over 10,000 miles!!!! Of course I didn’t put all those miles on by myself, but I did a lot of them since 1997!

Less than 1 mile from camp and I caught the last tenth of a mile on the odometer.

To the magic 10,000!

On the way to Palm Canyon to view the only native Arizona palm trees (which incidentally are California fan palms, Washingtonia filifera).

The palms are in a narrow side canyon, high up on the sides of the main canyon.

Nov. 22 – First Arizona Sunset

We found a nice spot on the way into the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge just south of Quartzsite, AZ.

The sunset reflected on our ‘house’ (for the time being).

Nov. 21 – Searchlight

We spent the night in Searchlight, NV. Who would have thunk it? But the sun was going down and we needed to stop.

A colorful mural in Searchlight.
