July 9 – Ochocos

We took a motorcycle/Jeep tour around  the Ochoco Mountains in early July. We had great weather, beautiful scenery and an altogether wonderful time.

Swallowtail butterfly on fireweed flowers at Bull Prairie Lake in the Umatilla National Forest.

July 2 – Happy 30th Anniversary!

We enjoyed a wonderful day in the Deschutes National Forest, including a few glasses of delicious vintage Zinfandel.

A view of Broken Top overlooking Little Lava Lake.

June 16 – Clean

I spent the day cleaning the Terry trailer inside and out. We’ve had 2 weeks of extreme pollen counts as the pine trees are launching their clouds of yellow pollen on the wind.

All clean for the season now, I hope!

June 3 – Sunday Brunch

We had neighbors over for Sunday Brunch on the deck. We had a great meal and lots of fun!

Honey, I’m ready for a Cosmo!

June 1 – Back Home!

We arrived back home on Memorial Day and quickly set to work cleaning up and getting reacquainted with the neighbors. We discovered a new resident, a Momma duck sitting on seven eggs along the canal. We kept the dogs away for a few days and she finally left with at least 3 ducklings (we hope).

At least 3 eggs hatched.

We set out all the outdoor furniture and added a new element!

Grandpa’s lantern has a new home!

Robert found this lantern in the garage of Grandpa’s house at Lake Cora, cleaned it up, brought it home and found the perfect spot for it. It lights up our deck in the evenings.
