Jan. 26 – Dramatic Clouds
A wet spell brought dramatic clouds and sunny illumination to the mountains surrounding us, and some rain to lull us to sleep.

We warmed up in the sandy desert of the Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area.
Jan. 21 – From the Lofty Heights
We looked down on the desert far below!
The Pacific Crest Trail crosses right in front of us, with a convenient bench for weary hikers!
Jan. 20 – Fun in the Snow
We went up into the mountains (to 6000 ft.) to meet some relatives and play in the little bit of snow left from the cold snap.
Running out of snow won’t dampen their fun!
