Or is he cute? With flash.

Feb. 20 – All Day Rain

It has rained almost all day today. Thank goodness for my new rubber boots, the envy of 6 year old girls everywhere!

They are so 'camo' you almost don't see them!

Feb. 16 – On the Way North

We headed back to the Chicagoland area today. Our route took us through St. Louis. I’ve never been there and had to be content with a view of the Gateway Arch through the car windows. It was a beautiful day for travel though.

Feb. 13 – War Eagle Mill

Today was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. The snow has melted off the roads and is quickly diminishing in the fields. We took a scenic drive to the historic War Eagle Mill nearby.

A view of War Eagle Creek flowing past the Mill and under the bridge leading to the homestead.

One of the many grain products produced and sold by the Mill.

Feb. 12 – Beginning of the Melt

The Jeep was safe under the canopy at the back house, but Robert couldn’t resist testing it out in the snow. It did a great job pushing through the snow.

Don plowed the path with his skid steer. There actually is no road here.

Meanwhile at ‘the big house’ the snow melting off the roof created beautiful icicles hanging in front of the windows.
