December 17, 2021 Crab Season in Full Swing
The commercial crab fishing season started on time and is in full swing now!
The lights of the crabbing boats on the horizon in the evening.
December 16, 2021 Gone Fishin’
Robert went to Olalla Reservoir to fish for trout and came home with dinner!
Olalla Reservoir is stocked with keeper sized trout and one is enough for both of us!
Pan fried with butter, garlic and herbs. Yummy with asparagus and a salad.

Another walk in Yakona. We found the ‘Loo (with a view?).
Brand new and so cute!
Further down the path, deep in the once great forest we found a hobbit stump.
It looks like a little moss-trimmed hobbit house door into the stump!

We found a new watering hole (Pub)!
Excellent beer and an awesome PB&J Burger! You’ve got to taste it to believe it!!

We found more surprises in Yakona Nature Preserve! The Wind Phone.
Brand new and smelling of fresh cut lumber and sawdust.
With a circa 1940? rotary phone (who remembers those?) on which to call your departed loved ones.
