November 5, 2021 Shrooms and Sea Lions
Lots of new places to explore! Great hiking nearby, in the forest or on the beach!

Mushrooms and moss in the little bit of old growth coastal forest left.

Sea Lions on the docks at the Newport historic bayfront. You can sometimes hear them barking all the way across the bay!
November 3, 2021 Crabbing
We moved to South Beach, Oregon to spend the winter away from the snow and ice of central Oregon. The second day here and Robert couldn’t wait to get the crab traps into Yaquina Bay!

With the beautiful, historic 1934 Yaquina Bay Bridge as a backdrop!
October 24, 2021 Prelude to Winter
A high King tide at South Beach near Newport, Oregon.

We will be staying near here for the winter.
October 18, 2021 The Buffet
A buck and his harem visit the buffet we spread under the apple tree.

Maybe we’ll see his progeny next spring!
Our tree did not produce any fruit this year, maybe due to a frost after the flowers bloomed. We collected fruit from under a tree in town that produced copiously! We were able to feed the deer for a few weeks! We think the deer might have gotten tummy aches since the apples were green, but they were all eaten!
October 16, 2021 Candle in the Dark
A found object, cleaned up and fitted with a tea light candle, is such a romantic touch to an evening on the deck!
